Serdar Polat is a Senior Economist in the Department of Economic Research and Evaluation at the Presidency of Strategy and Budget of Türkiye, where he works on policy analysis and economic research for national planning. He holds a PhD in Demography from Hacettepe University and an MPA from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. He previously served as Senior Advisor to the Minister of National Education and teaches Economics of Population at Başkent University. His research covers fertility and family formation, the economics of education and skills, and women's and youth employment in a changing demographic context.
