Ana Birchall is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest and a graduate of Master and Ph.D. in Law at Yale Law School, USA.
Until 2003, when she returned to Romania with her family, she worked as a lawyer on Wall Street in New York City, with one of the largest law firms in the world.
She joined the team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contributing to promoting Romania's interests, including integration into NATO and the EU.
Over the years, he has worked in the public service and has been involved in the political life, holding various positions including: Vice Prime Minister for the Implementation of Romania's Strategic Partnerships, Minister of Justice (including an interim role in February 2017), Minister Delegate for European Affairs, High Representative of the Prime Minister for the Strategic Partnership with US and European Affairs, Deputy in the Romanian Parliament (two terms), President of the Committee for European Affairs, President of the Special Committee for the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, President of the parliamentary delegation to the OSCE.
Continuing the steps and decisions taken as Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, in recent years he has been involved in promoting and consolidating Romania's strategic energy projects from the position of Special Representative for Strategic Projects and International Relations within Nuclearelectrica SA.
May - july 2025, she hold the role of Presidential Adviser with responsibilities for the implementation of Romania's strategic partnerships within the Department of Foreign Policy, Strategic Partnerships, and Romanians Abroad.
