Stefanos Papapanagiotou is a Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank and Global Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). Prior to assuming his current position, he was Head of FIG EMEA from 2018. Before that, he served as Head of Global Banking for the Nordics and Greece. Stefanos joined UBS in August 2014. Prior to joining UBS, Stefanos spent nine years at Credit Suisse in London, where he was a Managing Director and led the firm’s Investment Banking Business for Greece and Cyprus. Earlier in his career, from 2000 to 2005, he worked at Deutsche Bank in London within the European Mergers and Acquisitions team. Over the course of a 26-year career, Stefanos has advised numerous leading European financial institutions, corporates, private equity firms, and governments on a broad range of strategic and transformational transactions. Stefanos holds an MSc in Economics & Finance from the University of Warwick and a BSc in Economics from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London.
