Secretary General for Communication and Media, Presidency of the Hellenic Government Dimitrios Kirmikiroglou serves as Secretary General for Communication and Media at the Presidency of the Hellenic Government. His responsibilities cover media policy, media literacy, countering disinformation, journalist safety, and the strategic communication of government priorities.
He has previously served, among other positions, as Secretary General for Public Administration and as Chief of Staff to the Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for European Affairs. He has also held senior positions in the Greek public administration, contributing to institutional reform, meritocracy frameworks, and the modernization of human resources management, as well as in the private sector at a major telecommunications company.
He is a distinguished graduate of the National School of Public Administration and a doctoral candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, researching European integration and good governance reforms in the Western Balkans. He holds postgraduate degrees in European and International Studies, International Law and Diplomatic Studies, and an MBA in Strategic Business Administration, as well as undergraduate degrees in History and Public Administration.
